Other Services

In an effort to serve the needs of all students, the Career Services Office provides the following additional services:

  • Video conferencing may be available if you receive a request for such an interview from a distant employer or judge. The CSO will work with the University’s Telecommunications Department as well as the employer’s contact person to arrange these interviews. Please contact the CSO as soon as possible if you receive a request for a videoconference interview so that we can determine system compatibility and, if compatible, set up the interview.
  • Passwords – To obtain passwords for any CSO password-protected Web site or page, please contact Anne Major in the CSO by phone (804) 289-8638 or e-mail
  • Reciprocity from the career services office of another ABA-accredited law school may be requested by the CSO for you. If you are interested, please stop by our office and discuss your interest with a staff member.
  • Confidential fax and phone services are available for job-related matters. You may schedule a phone interview or call in our conference room. Just call 804-289-8638 or e-mail us to schedule.
  • The Career Services Advisory Board is comprised of students from the second- and third-year classes and serves as a liaison between students and the CSO staff.  It meets regularly to discuss topics affecting students in the employment process and also assists our staff in determining the programs and services needed by students.  Additionally, each Board member serves as a mentor for a group of first-year or transfer students. A list of the current Board members with links to their e-mail addresses is included on the Career Services Office Staff and Advisory Board Web page.
  • Transcripts may be ordered online from the Registrar’s Office.
  • Summer surveys should be completed each year by completing the appropriate form and returning it to the CSO.
  • Needles, thread, buttons, lint removers, etc., are available, if needed. Just stop in and ask.
