Mission Statement

The Equality Alliance is a student organization dedicated to advocating for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons at the University of Richmond School of Law and society at large. The Equality Alliance provides a forum for the discussion of legal, political, and social challengers facing LGBT individuals. Such challenges include prohibitions against same-sex marriage, hate crimes, and employment/educational discrimination. Through speaker programs and social events, the Equality Alliance serves to promote awareness of these challenges in the student body and create relationship between LGBT students and allies. Membership in the Equality Alliance is open to all individuals of all sexual orientations who are committed to advocating for LGBT persons.
