KARAMAH: Muslim Women Lawyers for Human Rights
Founded in 1993 by Prof. Azizah al-Hibri, KARAMAH is a charitable, educational organization which focuses upon the domestic and global issues of human rights for Muslims. KARAMAH stands committed to research, education, and advocacy work in matters pertaining to Muslim women and human rights in Islam, as well as civil rights and other related rights under the Constitution of the United States.
LINC (Legal Information Network for Cancer)
Co-founded in 1996 by Prof. Ann Hodges and Phyllis Katz (L'82), LINC is an organization of volunteers committed to helping cancer patients resolve non-medical issues arising from the diagnosis or treatment of cancer. Serving the Central Virginia community, LINC provides information, education, counseling and referral services for legal assistance to individuals confronted with the overwhelming array of choices and dilemmas associated with cancer.
Nonprofit Manual
In the spring of 2005, the students in the Law of Nonprofit Organizations class at the University of Richmond, taught by Prof. Ann Hodges and Adjunct Prof. Phyllis C. Katz, created a basic manual on starting a nonprofit organization. One of the goals in creating the manual was to make it available to individuals interested in starting nonprofits or in learning about the legal issues relating to nonprofit organizations.

The Virginia Junior Faculty
The Virginia Junior Faculty is an ongoing monthly colloquy series where untenured law faculty in
the Virginia area present works-in-progress to other untenured faculty to get feedback and to brainstorm in a relaxed and highly collegial setting. The Forum was founded in the in the fall of 2007 by the junior faculty at Richmond Law.
