A Collision of Authority: The U.S. Constitution and International Jurisdiction

On February 26, 2010, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., the Richmond Journal of Global Law and Business will present its Volume 9 Symposium on the reach of the U.S. Constitution outside the nation's borders.

The symposium will bring together a number of constitutional and international legal scholars, including:

     Professor Erwin Chemerinsky
     Dean, University of California, Irvine School of Law

     Professor Anthony Clark Arend
     Professor of Government and Foreign Service at Georgetown University
     Adjunct Professor, Georgetown University Law Center    

     Moderated by Prof. John F. Preis
     Assistant Professor of Law, University of Richmond School of Law

The symposium will focus on a number of discrete issues, including treaty law, domestic legislation, and the potential international liability of U.S. officials.
