UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND SCHOOL OF LAW
WILLIAM TAYLOR MUSE LAW LIBRARY
ADMIRALTY/MARITIME LAW RESOURCES
Introduction
Contents and Scope: The pages comprising this site contain lists of resources within the Muse Law Library relating to the study and analysis of admiralty and maritime law. These collections support the instruction of law students and the research of faculty members in admiralty and maritime-related issues at the University of Richmond School of Law. All titles identified within the Muse Law Library collection as relevant to these study areas are included in this bibliography.
Methodology: These records have been downloaded from the online catalog of the University of Richmond Libraries. The materials are grouped by topic, as outlined in the Table of Contents . Within each list, records are arranged alphabetically by title. Most records include fields for primary author or editor, title, publisher (including place of publication and date), and call number within the Muse Law Library. Some text has been truncated or abbreviated to accommodate the limitations of the software utilized in this project. Where appropriate, fields have been added for edition statements, series names, notes, or, in the case of journals and other serials, frequency of publication.
For complete information on these resources, users should consult the online catalog of the University of Richmond Libraries ( http://library.richmond.edu ). The records there include additional notes, copy information, availability, and updating status not found in these abbreviated entries.
Site Development: The initial contents of this site were generated from a Microsoft Access® database developed by downloads from the University of Richmond Libraries online catalog. These contents will be updated periodically. Future expansion of the site may include addition of journal articles on admiralty/maritime law, as well as records and links to World Wide Web resources.
Loans: The Muse Law Library participates in the OCLC Interlibrary Loan System, the COSELL law school interlibrary loan consortium, and the RALC consortium of Richmond, Virginia, area libraries. The following types of materials will not be loaned, although limited photocopies may be requested: journals and periodicals, multi-volume sets or individual volumes therefrom, loose-leaf format materials, videotapes, reference or reserve materials, special collections materials.
Please make suggestions: We earnestly invite suggestions for additions to the Muse Law Library admiralty and maritime law holdings. If you know of significant published materials, currently available, not reflected in this bibliography, please e-mail suggestions to the maintainer of these pages: jbarden@richmond.edu .
