Budgeting

If you did not apply for funds during the annual appropriations process or need supplemental funds, you may apply using the funding request form located at the bottom of this page. Please email the forms to me at anisa.mohanty@richmond.edu. Funds will be appropriated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Dear Students Organizations,

This is a reminder that the SBA Appropriations forms are due for all organizations no later than 5:00 p.m. on September 1, 2008 by email to me (anisa.mohanty@richmond.edu). Once all budgets requests have been received, the SBA will work with your organization to schedule a five (5) minute time slot for you to present your request before the Budget Committee.

Starting this year, some of our organizations such as competition boards and journals will be primarily funded in a separate process by the Student Support Fund. More will be explained at the Student Leader lunch on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge. The Dean's Office will be contacting these organizations separately, but all organizations should still submit a funding request form to the SBA by September 1.

Dear Student Organizations,

Attached is the form for 2008-2009 SBA Appropriations. The form looks quite different from past years, so please be sure to read through it becfore completing it. Pay special attention to some of the new guidelines and restrictions for funding set forth on the second page.

Forms will be due by e-mail to anisa.mohanty@richmond.edu no later than 5:00 p.m. on September 1, 2008. Absolutely no exceptions will be granted; this means any forms received at 5:05 p.m. will not be accepted. To avoid a problem with this, we advise you send in your form as soon as possible.

After forms have been reviewed by the budget committee, groups will be asked to send 1-2 representatives to give a five (5) minute presentation on your funding request before the committee. Final award letters will be sent by e-mail. Specific dates and details will be forthcoming as the semester nears.
