Interviews

University of Richmond School of Law students have many resources available as they prepare for their first interviews.

The Career Development Office hosts annual Mock Interview Programs. Our alumni (many of whom serve on the recruiting committees of their firms and agencies) conduct mock interviews with students and provide them with personalized feedback and interviewing tips.

Our handbook and Blackboard course provide interview tips and strategies, agenda building worksheets, and etiquette reminders. We provide information for different types of interviews as well, including traditional, behavioral, phone, and video.

Additionally, we offer annual programs for law students on the topics of interviewing and agenda building.

If an employer is unable to meet with you in person for an interview, the CDO has a phone available for phone interviews. We can also assist you in arranging for video interviews on campus.

Contact us to request a meeting with a CDO staff member or for more information about phone and video interview options. Please e-mail or visit our offices.
