Events & Travel

The Office of Admissions invites you to meet with admissions representatives at various virtual and in-person events where they are happy to answer questions and make materials available to you. Options include but are not limited to general admission sessions, personal statement workshops, and law student panels. Please know that all sessions allow time for individual questions as we know you may have specific needs.

  • Summer Visits at Richmond Law

Welcome to the University Richmond School of Law!  We’re excited to welcome you to Princeton Review’s Most Beautiful Campus to learn more about learning the law.

Summertime at Richmond Law is much quieter than the academic year. A majority of our students are working in legal positions around the state and across the country, and our most recent graduates are preparing to take the bar. As such, we have very limited opportunities to visit campus during the summer months.

Our Campus Visit Calendar will list the select Thursdays or Fridays we host our campus visits. Each visit includes an information session, tour of the law school, and opportunity to chat individually with a member of the Admissions team. If none of the available visit dates align with your schedule, we encourage you to join us for our virtual Summer Strategy Bootcamp to prepare you for the upcoming application cycle!

    Group Visits

If you are interested in bringing a group to campus as a university or pre-law student organization, please contact the Admissions Office to discuss group visit opportunities.

  • Summer Strategy Bootcamp

June through August, join us for a three-part series that will prepare you for the upcoming admissions cycle. These virtual sessions focus on the components of a law school application, how to approach telling your story authentically, and the importance of creating a holistic application. Participating in all three sessions of the Summer Strategy Bootcamp grants attendees a CAS Report Fee Waiver for the upcoming cycle*!

    Summer Strategy Bootcamp

Part 1: Richmond Law Information Session
In our (somewhat biased) view, Richmond Law is a great place to begin your legal education. Whether it is the collegial community or a capital city full of opportunities, we’re glad you’re tuning in to find out what makes our law school stand out from the rest. This session will allow for time with admissions representatives where you can have individual questions answered!

    Part 2: Application Components
We know the law school admissions process can be daunting, but understanding all the application parts can really help. In this session, we will cover Credential Assembly Service Reports, the LSAT, letters of recommendation, personal statements, resumes, optional addenda, and more.

Part 3: Personal Statements & Addenda
Learn more about one of the most challenging parts of the law school application: the personal statement. Get tips on where to start, how to avoid common pitfalls, and find a little direction on where you want yours to go. Plus, get a better sense of the different types of optional addenda you might want to add to your application.

Registration - Live Friday, May 1 at 9:00 AM ET

The Summer Strategy Bootcamp will be held once a month in June, July, and August. Separate registration is required for each individual event.
