Join us for Reunion 2021

While this Reunion will be different than your last, we look forward to seeing you for three days of virtual celebration and connection! Law classes ending in ’0, ’1, ’5, and ’6, make plans to join your Richmond Law classmates June 3-5.

We are excited to present new ways to come together and reconnect. Events will allow for small-group socializing and networking opportunities with members of your class and others. Additionally, current and former faculty will be in attendance and are looking forward to seeing you!

  • Thursday, June 3

    A Conversation about Wrongful Convictions in Modern America
    12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

    Professor Mary Kelly Tate serves as Director of the School of Law’s Institute for Actual Innocence, which works to identify and exonerate wrongfully convicted individuals in Virginia by pursuing writs of actual innocence and related post-conviction relief. She was recently featured in the Netflix documentary series The Innocence Files and is an expert on wrongful convictions. One hour of Virginia CLE credit pending.

     

    Faculty and Career Development Roundtable

    Join Professors Jessica Erickson and Hayes Holderness and Career Development Office Director Liz Jones, L’09, as they give updates on Richmond Law’s business- and tax-law programs plus CDO initiatives. After their presentations, attendees will be able to participate in roundtable discussions with Richmond Law faculty and staff.

    Sippin’ Spiders: A History of Wine in Virginia and Social Hour for All Classes

    No state can claim a longer history of experimenting with and promoting viticulture than Virginia—nor does any state’s history demonstrate a more astounding record of initial failure and ultimate success. Bring your favorite bottle of wine and hear from Andrew Painter, L’07, as he presents a comprehensive record of the Virginia wine industry. Afterward, breakout groups will allow for socialization with members of your class.

    Join us for a relaxing morning session of yoga to kick off the last day of Reunion! All you will need is a cleared space, a mat or carpeted area, a towel, and water.

    Members of the Class of 1970 are invited to a special session honoring your 50th Reunion. After the ceremony led by Dean Wendy Perdue, there will be time for socialization with your classmates.

    Sippin’ Spiders: Cocktail Making Class and Social Hour for All Classes

    You provide the spirits, and Richmond-based Bar Chef Cocktail Kits will provide everything else you need to make two custom cocktails in this interactive session. Between cocktail-making sessions, there will be time for socialization with members of your law class and others.

    The Associate Kit includes the fresh ingredients, juices, syrups, herbs, and recipe cards needed to make two servings per cocktail recipe. The Executive Kit includes everything in the Associate Kit  plus a nine-piece essential bar equipment kit.

    Your selected kit will be shipped to the address you provide at registration.

    Registration by May 21 is required for this event.
