    Professor Doug Boyle teaches business law subjects including mergers & acquisitions and business associations. He joined the Richmond Law faculty after 15 years of practice in a variety of capacities—as a solo practitioner, in-house, and at large law firms. He was General Counsel at Sustainable Living Innovations, a Seattle-based building technology company, and worked in the corporate and capital markets groups at Vinson & Elkins and Troutman Sanders in Richmond. He began his legal career at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York in their general practice, and clerked for Judge Boyce F. Martin, Jr. on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Before law school, he was a practicing CPA.
