Honor Council & Honor Code

The Honor Council is tasked with adjudicating claims of misconduct in accordance with the Law School Honor Code. It consists of three distinct groups:

  • The Grievance Committee is responsible for investigating and prosecuting cases before the Honor Court.
  • The Student Advocate Corps provides a defense for the accused student if selected as their representative.
  • The Honor Court preside over trial cases, determining the guilt or innocence of the accused and imposing appropriate sanctions pursuant to the Honor Code.

All members of the Honor Council are elected by the student body. Law faculty members are also appointed to serve as advisors and consultants to the Honor Council.
