Children's Defense Clinic

  • Graded course, six credits, average of 17-20 hours per week required.
  • Open to second- and third-year law students; however, Third-Year Practice Certificate required in order to appear in court.

Intellectual Property and Transactional Law Clinic

Family Law Clinic

Wrongful Convictions Clinic

  • Class held Thursdays, 10:15-11:55 a.m. (Fall)
  • Class held Thursdays, 1:05-2:45 p.m. (Spring)
  • Graded course, two credits
  • Open to second- and third-year law students
  • NOTE: Students who take the fall Wrongful Convictions Seminar have priority enrollment for the eight positions available in the spring Wrongful Convictions Clinic. If more than eight students from the seminar are interested in the Clinic, the director will select the eight students for participation. If fewer than eight students from the seminar are interested, the clinic will be open to other students who seek permission from the Director.

  • Class held Wednesdays, 4:30-7:50 p.m. (Fall and Spring)
  • Biweekly meetings every other week with professor, to be scheduled
  • Pass/fail graded course, 5 (16 hrs./wk.), 6 (20 hrs./wk.), or 7 (24 hrs./wk.) credits
  • Open to second- and third-year students, with preference given to third-year students. Third Year Practice Certificate required for some placements.

The deadline for applications for the 2020-2021 school year are as follows: 

  • Clinical Placement Program: 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 4. Notice of acceptance is distributed by Monday, April 6. Deadline to accept is Tuesday, April. 7.
  • All Other Programs: 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 9. Notice of acceptance is distributed by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 10.
