Prospective Client Application

If you are seeking assistance from the Intellectual Property & Transactional Law Clinic, please complete the application below.

We help a wide variety of clients who would otherwise be unable to obtain legal protection. Our typical clients include:

  • Entrepreneurs looking to start a business,
  • Artists, authors, and makers who want to protect their creative efforts,
  • Existing business and non-profit organizations with contracting, licensing and similar transactional needs, and
  • Companies looking to acquire or assign intellectual property rights.

Although the clinic’s services are pro bono, clients are responsible for all filing fees with government agencies.

Submissions to this website do not create an attorney-client relationship between you and the University of Richmond School of Law Intellectual Property & Transactional Law Clinic (IPT Clinic). An attorney-client relationship is only formed through a written, signed agreement with the IPT Clinic. You should not submit confidential information in this form, as it may not be protected by a duty of confidentiality.
