Application Status Glossary

Below are terms to assist you with the Applicant Status Online (ASO).  Use the username and password you received from the admissions office in your introductory email when your application was received.

Application Complete

Your application is complete and ready for review. There is nothing you need to do at this time.

Application In Review

Your application has been sent to the admissions committee. Once it has been sent to the committee, it could potentially take 3-4 weeks for a decision to be made.

Application Withdrawn

You have requested to remove your application prior to receiving a decision from the admissions committee.

Declined Admission

You have requested to remove your application from Richmond Law after admission into the program.

Deferred

You have been admitted and subsequently have been approved by the committee to defer your admission to the following year.

Deny Incomplete

You do not have a complete application and despite attempts by the admissions office to contact you, they have received no response. Since the admission committee cannot review incomplete applications, your application has been denied.  You may contact the admissions office for more information.

Deposit Paid

The admissions office has received your seat deposit. This deposit is nonrefundable and will be applied towards your fall tuition.

Incomplete File

Your application is currently incomplete. Your application will not be reviewed by the admissions committee until it is complete. These items could include official transcripts processed by LSAC or letters of recommendation.

Waitlist

The admissions committee has placed you on the waitlist. Applicants will be provided additional information as to when a decision will be made.

Withdrawn Declined Waitlist

You have been removed from the waitlist per your request.
