Profile
Professor Daniel Murphy is a Professor Emeritus at the Law School, having served on the faculty from 1976 until his retirement in 2012. He continues to teach in the area of international law. During his tenure on the law faculty, Professor Murphy served as Interim Dean of the Law School twice, and as the Law School’s first Associate Dean, from 1981 to 1992. Professor Murphy also served as director of the Law School’s summer program in Cambridge for 25 years, and director of international studies for more than a decade. Professor Murphy is an elected member of the prestigious American Law Institute, and a past recipient of the University of Richmond’s Distinguished Educator Award.
