Law School Welcomes New Associate Deans

The University of Richmond School of Law is pleased to announce the appointment of two faculty members to associate dean positions. Professor Allison Anna Tait will become Associate Dean for Faculty Development, while Professor Laura A. Webb will become the inaugural Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives.

Tait is a professor of law who teaches trusts and estates, family law, estate planning, critical theory, and feminist legal theory. Her research addresses the regulation of family and household economies. In her role as Associate Dean for Faculty Development, Tait will offer support for faculty in their teaching and scholarship, and will contribute to the intellectual life and programming of the Law School.

Webb is a professor of law, legal practice. She teaches in the areas of legal writing, analysis, and mindfulness. Her recent scholarship has focused on legal education, professional identity formation, and the intersection of classical rhetoric with contemporary legal advocacy. In her new role as the first Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives, she will support efforts to enhance the Law School’s overall mission, including developing special programs.
