Steinberg Fellowship
The Yetta and Louis Steinberg Memorial Environmental Law Fellowship is awarded to Richmond Law students who have demonstrated interest in and aptitude for public sector and non-governmental organization environmental work, as evidenced by academic achievement, written products, and the evaluation of the Law School faculty and staff.
This Fellowship was made possible by the generous gift from Barry P. Steinberg, R'63, L'66.

"The Steinberg Fellowship enabled me to intern at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation during the summer between my second and third years of law school, fulfilling my years-long passion for protecting the environment. I had a broad understanding of environmental law as a result of my research and coursework, but through my internship I learned about the day-in-the-life details of practicing environmental law and, importantly, how to have a meaningful impact in the field.
