Virginia’s Finest

Virginia Business’ annual list of influential leaders, the Virginia 500: The 2023-24 Power List, includes a number of Richmond Law Spiders in its ranks – including Dean Wendy Perdue and Professor Carl Tobias in the Law category.

Perdue is recognized for her leadership in legal education, and Tobias for his prolific authorship and scholarship with an emphasis on judicial selection.

Also included on this year’s list in the Law category are Richmond Law alumni David Burton, L’91, of Williams Mullen; Benjamin Leigh, R’91 and L’96, of Troxell Leigh; Courtney Moates Paulk, L’00, of Hirschler; John Ramirez, L’95, of Troutman Pepper; and T. Vaden Warren, L’97, of The Warren Firm.

Notably, Law Spiders listed in other categories include Ted Chandler, L’77, in Finance; Richard Cullen, L’77, in Government/Politics; and Reese Jackson, L’93, in Healthcare. University of Richmond President Kevin Hallock is also listed in the Education category.
