Congratulations to Dean Wendy Perdue, Professor Hank Chambers, and Professor Emeritus Clark Williams who were inducted into the Virginia Law Foundation Fellows Class of 2024.

Nominated confidentially by their peers, Virginia Law Foundation Fellows are recognized for leadership in their practices, their communities, and the Commonwealth. The Class of 2024 joins a group of more than 750 of the best and brightest legal practitioners in Virginia who are committed to the highest ideals of the law and exemplify the concept of citizen lawyer.

Wendy Perdue has led Richmond Law as dean since 2011. She is a recognized leader in legal education, having served as past president of the Association of American Law Schools and a former vice president of Order of the Coif, the legal education honor society.

A member of the Richmond Law faculty since 2004, Professor Hank Chambers is the Austin E. Owen Research Scholar & Professor of Law. He teaches and writes in the areas of constitutional law, criminal law, law and religion, and employment discrimination, and is widely recognized for his expertise in voting rights.

Professor Emeritus Clark Williams retired from the faculty in 2023 after 44 years of dedicated service to Richmond Law. During this time, he taught and wrote in the areas of civil procedure, conflict of laws, and structure of the Virginia judicial system, and served as the school’s associate dean for academic affairs from 1995-2014.

Perdue, Chambers, and Williams were inducted into the Fellows Class of 2024 in a ceremony on January 18. They join two other Richmond Law faculty in this honor: Professor Tara Casey, who was inducted into the Fellows Class of 2019 and Professor John Douglass who was inducted into the Fellows Class of 2010.

Congratulations to all!
