Giving Back to Pay it Forward

During this year’s Giving Day, Doug, R’77 and L’80, and Melissa Callaway deepened their commitment to Richmond Law with a generous $25,000 pledge aimed to inspire fellow law alumni to also give. Their leadership through this challenge helped rally nearly 200 Law Spiders, who collectively raised more than $110,000 to support our students.

Doug, a proud Double Spider, credits much of his successful legal career to Richmond Law, where he thrived. Since graduating, he has been a consistent and enthusiastic supporter, believing deeply in the importance of supporting future generations of lawyers.

“I choose to give back because the education I received at the University of Richmond—both as an undergraduate and in law school—placed me in a position to build a successful legal career,” he said. “I want to ensure that future law students have access to the same opportunities and support.”
