Faculty Hiring & Appointments

The University of Richmond School of Law seeks to fill up to three positions for the 2019-20 academic year.  Two of these positions are open to entry-level or junior lateral candidates, and our primary area of interest is corporate & securities law.  We are also open to candidates in other areas, including torts, administrative law, and property law.  Candidates for these positions should have outstanding academic credentials and show superb promise for top-notch scholarship and teaching. 

For our third position, we are working with the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond to fill the Tyler Haynes Interdisciplinary Chair.  For this endowed chair, we seek candidates with a distinguished record of scholarship and teaching, or a similarly distinguished record of public service, who would be appointed in and teach in both schools. We are especially interested in candidates whose research addresses areas of applied law and leadership, including criminal justice, housing, immigration, social, education policy, health care, or institutional design and analysis.  While we are open to disciplinary specializations, the ideal candidate will have earned J. D. and Ph.D. degrees.
